BHOPAL: Delay in completion of on-going work under government’s housing-for-all scheme will lead to termination of private agency’s contract, said BMC commissioner, KVS Chaudary, here on Tuesday.

“If the construction of houses under housing-for-all scheme is not completed within the time limit, there will be no penalty but the agency’s contract will be terminated,” said Chaudary during inspection of site at Shyam Nagar on Tuesday.

The agency has been directed to complete construction work by November 12 for residential housing. It includes construction of four LIG blocks and two blocks of EWS houses.

BMC additional commissioner Chandra Pratap Gohal, city engineer AR Pawar and other officers of the corporation were present during the inspection.

The construction also includes MIG blocks, located near 12 Number Stop area. 20 EWS blocks for slum dwellers are planned under construction. At present, only five of nine blocks for slum dwellers are slated to be completed by November.
